ABOUT

With a career background in mental health since 2005, I have a strong commitment to supporting, nurturing and enhancing mental, emotional and physical wellbeing. My mindfulness journey began in 2011 I became program manager for a government funded mental health wellness centre in Mission, B.C. From that point on mindfulness, meditation and wisdom-based practices have become to core in how I support my own wellbeing and those who I have the privilege to walk alongside.

I believe true wellness is not contingent on external things and is not completely free from suffering. It is experienced by turning towards our life with wisdom, interest and curiosity and learning to befriend all aspects of this human predicament, even those aspects that are difficult to bear. I have come to see how powerful mindfulness is in wielding the mind and freeing the heart from the unnecessary angst we unknowingly cause ourselves and one another.

I am no master at mindfulness and meditation nor have ever or will ever claim to be, but I am deeply committed to this practice to help cultivate a sense of steadfastness in an undoubtedly unstable world.

If this is all I ever have to offer myself, others and the world at large, I believe it is enough. It is plenty.

In loving-kind regards,

~ Brandi (she/her)
