the mindfulness-based stress reduction program for teens 

Today's young adults and teens are facing more mental health challenges than ever before! From endless screen time and FOMO to cyberbullying and school stress, the struggle is real. It's super important for youth today to learn how to take care of themselves and keep their minds, bodies, and hearts happy and healthy!

Created by Gina Beigle in 2004, the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Teens (MBSR-T) program is a cool adaptation of the proven 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program for adults, started by Jon Kabat-Zinn in 1979. It's a chill training in mindfulness that includes psychology, practical tools, and techniques that totally fit the vibes of today's teens. This program is awesome for anyone 12 and up who wants to learn important life skills like handling stress, anxiety, and emotions, building confidence, and having a healthier and happier mind-set. Think of it as a a tailor-made life skill's training program to suit the youthful vibe of today!

program structure:

The MBSR-T program consists of either eight 60- 90 minute weekly sessions or sixteen 45-minute weekly sessions, which are conducted in person. Over the course of eight or sixteen weeks, participants will take part in a range of activities, including:

​ - Mindfulness practice, self-reflection, and dialogue

 - Exploration on topics such as stress, developing and strengthening mindfulness, cultivating self-

    care, working with troubling thoughts, developing positive coping strategies, being mindful in

    relationships, and making mindfulness a part of everyday living.

as a part of the program, you'll receive:

  • Access to audio recordings for mindfulness practices

  • A comprehensive MBSR-T Program Guide (available in PDF or hard copy for additional cost)​​

  • Additional guidance and support, tailored to your needs

individual MBSR-T program fee:

- 8 weekly sessions, each 60 minutes 

  • Eight weekly payments of $130 + gst for a total of = $1040 + gst​​​

Group MBSR-T program fee:

- Group Option 1:

  • 8 weekly sessions, each 90 minutes for a total of: $2040 + gst

- Group Option 2: 

  • 16 sessions per week, each 45 minutes for a total of: $3120 + gst

Family MBSR-T program fee:

- One child + One Adult Caregiver:

  • 8 weekly sessions, each 90 minutes

    • Eight weekly payments of $195 for a total of: $1560 + gst

      • + $200 for additional caregiver or child

cancellation policy:

Your well-being is very important to me. I understand that sometimes unexpected delays can occur, making schedule adjustments. If you need to cancel your session, I respectfully request at least 24 hours notice. Any cancellation or reschedule made less than 24 hours will result in a cancellation fee of $50. In the case of a "no show" 100% of the session cost will occur. If you are more than 15 minutes late for your session, the same cancellation fee will apply.
