Let's face it, adolescence is undeniably challenging in today's world. With social media, peer pressure, body image issues, and academic stress, it's no wonder that many teenagers struggle with their mental health. That's where mindfulness-based counselling comes in.

 

Mindfulness is the practice of being present in the moment and accepting one's thoughts and feelings without judgment. It has been proven to be an effective tool for managing stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. And when combined with counselling techniques specifically tailored for teens, it can have a profound impact on their overall well-being.

 

So what exactly is mindfulness-based counselling? Essentially, it involves a trained therapist guiding a teen through various mindfulness exercises while also addressing specific issues they may be facing. These exercises can range from simple breathing techniques to mindful movement and self-care practices.

Requirements for teens to participate in mindfulness-based counseling sessions:

Teens are required to finish an introduction to the mindfulness-based stress reduction program or the full program to qualify for individual counseling sessions. For additional details about this program, please click here.

session rates:

60-minute follow-up sessions: $130 + GST.

**Important Notice: Please be aware that certain insurance plans may not cover counselling or mental health services, and they may not recognize the Registered Therapeutic Counsellor designation. cancellation policy:

Your wellbeing is very important to me. I understand that sometimes unexpected delays can occur, making schedule adjustments. If you need to cancel your session, I respectfully request at least 24 hours notice. Any cancellation or reschedule made less than 24 hours will result in a cancellation fee of $50. In the case of a "no show" 100% of the session cost will occur. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this policy, please contact me.
